A juicy OZO™ Plant-Based Breakfast Sausage patty topped with chevre cheese, apricot jam, and rocket greens – all nestled inside a halved buttery biscuit.

Ingredients

Vegan Biscuits (Recipe Below) 4 Each
Butter, Unsalted 4 Tablespoons
OZO Plant-Based Breakfast Sausage Patties 4 Each
Chevre Cheese 4 Tablespoons
Apricot Jam 4 teaspoons
Baby Arugula Leaves 1/3 cup
Plant-based Breakfast Sausages Original

Directions

Step 1
In a frying pan on medium heat, melt butter.
Step 2
Add OZO Plant-Based Breakfast Sausage patty to frying pan and cook for 2 minutes on each side, until meat is browned on each side. Remove from heat.
Step 3
Build sandwich in the following order:
1. 1 Biscuit heel (bottom)
2. 1 Cooked OZO Plant-Based Breakfast Sausage patty
3. 1 Tablespoon chevre cheese
4. 1 teaspoon apricot jam
5. 2 Tablespoons baby arugula
6. 1 Biscuit crown (top)

Note

To make sandwich plant-based, unsalted butter and chevre cheese can be substitute with plant-based products equivalents. Store-bought biscuit dough can also be used in place of scratch biscuit sub recipe.

Ingredients

All-purpose Flour 1 1/3 Cups
Baking Powder 2 ¼ teaspoons
Salt, Kosher ½ teaspoon
Vegan Butter, Unsalted ½ Cup Chilled +

2 Tablespoons Melted

Unsweetened Coconutmilk ½ Cup

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Step 2
Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Add 1/2 cup chilled vegan butter and cut it roughly into flour using a pastry cutter, until mixture is the texture of coarse meal with a few larger margarine lumps. Work quickly so the butter does not melt. Add coconutmilk and mix until just combined. Do not overwork.
Step 3
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and pat into an oblong shape, about 1 inch thick. Using a 3-inch floured biscuit cutter, cut the biscuits out and place them on a baking sheet.
Step 4
Brush the tops lightly with 2 Tablespoons of melted vegan butter and bake for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until they begin to turn golden. Remove biscuits from oven immediately and transfer to a wire rack to cool.

• Recommended brand for unsweetened coconutmilk is So Delicious Dairy Free.
