At OZO™ we are constantly improving our recyclability and trying to reduce our impact on the environment. Our packaging is made out of 4 main components: paper sleeves, plastic trays, a film and sometimes a paper that we use to separate the burgers. Our sleeves are made from a virgin paper material that is recyclable and we use vegetable/plant-based inks for the printed words. Our trays are made from virgin polypropylene and are recyclable for about 70% of the US population, please visit https://www.recyclemoreplastic.org/view/ppmap to find out if you are in a region that qualifies.
Unfortunately, our film and patty paper cannot be recycled. We will update this section as soon as we improve our packaging’s recyclability, please check back soon!
If you buy OZO at your local grocery store: shelf life is indicated by the “Best by” sticker placed on the packaging by the grocery store. If the sticker is missing, please ask the store from where you purchased. If you’ve purchased our products online: The product will arrive to you frozen, shipped with dry ice. Please use within 10 days once the product is thawed. When stored frozen, please use within 60 days to ensure the best OZO experience.
Peas are best grown in cold weather climates that have a lot of natural rainfall, so they need little or no irrigation. The majority of OZO’s peas are sourced from the U.S. and Canada. No matter where we get our ingredients, we always ensure that they meet our high-quality standards.
